Grandmaster Larry's legacy will continue through us

This website has been created, not only to inform others about our organization, but also bridge the gap between our brothers and sisters who are practitioners of Eskrido, WORLDWIDE- under the instruction of the Founder of the World Eskrido Federation, Grandmaster Gerardo 'Larry' Alcuizar.

Martial Arts An Important Part of My Life

ESKRIDO has been an important part of my life for a long time. There have been times when I have not put for a lot of effort, and yet, at times it has been the only consistent thing in my life giving me something nothing else could give me.

The longer I work for it, the more I accept ESKRIDO as a way of life. The techniques used for meditation, balance, versatility, strength, and endurance become a state of mind. By this I mean self confidence, discipline or other things. I believed the reason I enjoy ESKRIDO so much is not because ESKRIDO gave me, but because, due to my personality, ESKRIDO become a natural extension of my life.

Most of the time, the Martial Arts are portrayed as means of violence. To those people, it is a way to avenge something. They do not see the beauty in the forms, or the way a person uses a transition between each steps. Along with this new appreciation of the Martial Arts, I have been able to learn how to defend myself confidently. ESKRIDO has become a part of my life to which I can feel that I attained a part of the Martial Arts heritage.

In order to continue on ESKRIDO you need a lot of discipline.

The ART is simply not for everyone.
